As we all know,eyelash extension has two different types. The classic type and the flat type are two popular ways of grafting eyelashes in the market. Classic volumn lashes have a rounded base, while flat lashes have a flatter base.Both can extend eyelashes, but there are some differences in the effect and grafting method. Flat lashes are lighter and softer, while classic lashes are heavier and sometimes look fake. 

Factors eyelash artists need to consider

As a lash artist, you know that each lash will need its own individual extension. Yet, don't spend too long trying to isolate the "perfect" natural lash for each one. You need to maintain your concentration the entire time, and devote all of your mental energy to the task. There are several factors that will influence this decision, including:

• The direction of the client's natural lash growth

• The client's facial structure

• The shapes of the client's eyes

• The distance between the client's eyes

• The clients' expection and what it will require to achieve it.

(For excample, if they want the "fairy eye" look, do they have the right eye shape for it? If not, recommend a different look that will complement their facial features and deliver a similar appearance.)

How to speed up the lashing time?

The eyelash grafting time is an important problem concerned by both customers and eyelash artists.Here are some tips about it.

TIP 1: ORGANIZE AHEAD OF TIME

Save time by doing all the little things ahead of time. Cut your tape, sanitize your tools, and have fresh glue ready. If your client has booked in for a fill, pull out the exact lengths and curls you use on them. Preparation and organization are key!

TIP 2: TACKLE THE DIFFICULT LASHES FIRST

It’s been proven time and time again that at the beginning of the day (or even the beginning of an appointment) we are much less likely to make mistakes. Take care of those difficult lashes first. 

TIP 3 - MINIMIZE TALKING and KEEP CLIENTS OFF THEIR PHONES

Some clients will be constantly receiving phone calls, texts and emails. Also,some of them may be conversational.  

Remember that when chatting a client’s eyes are more likely to open. Remind the client that they need to keep their eyes closed at all times for safety reasons.Always make sure your lash bed is super comfortable for your client.Offer them the opportunity to have a refresh lash nap.
